Smooth Ambient

Thank for sending me the link. I had this playing in the background while I was doing some work and it really set the mood nicely for me to relax and chill while i finished up my work. Great job, and thanks for stopping by earlier :)

ID-N responds:

woow great, tnx bro

Wow ...

This is intelligent techno. So many ideas and transitions fill this piece and I really appreciate the amount of time you apparently spent on this track. It's very well thought out. Not necessarily something I can hum in my head, but a very deep, intricate listen. Great job! You've really impressed me.

shizeet responds:

Thanks for your thoughts! Actually, it didn't take as much time as you might think - the base of the music is rather static, but I tried to economically add variations - I did kind of like how it turned out for the most part though (the intro is kind of short/abrupt, but it was one of the concessions to the theme). I didn't really mean for it to be "intelligent", but ended up having to throw in a bunch of words to better rectify it with the theme. Next time, though, I hope I can make something interesting but also speak clearly without outside explanation.

!!!!!!!

Awwwww Yeeeaaahhhhhhhh!!! Seriously that was so perfectly sequenced and the performance on the guitar was superb. I'm breakin out the egg nog just for this occasion. Short and sweet and to the point. Well done from both of you. I'm gonna loop this for a little while. AHHhhhhhh.

Evil-Dog responds:

Hey man, nice hearing from you, you're pretty known around here :)
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for the review buddy, see ya around

Inspiring

This composition really spoke to me. Your structure is unmatched from what I've heard so far and your attention to the little details that keep my ears yearning for just a little more each time is absolutely phenomenal. I especially felt uplifted during the guitar and string sections. Chord Structure was very intricate. Beautiful textures flow all throughout this piece and keep my feet floating above the ground. An amazing journey. I don't know why I haven't had you listed as a favorite artist by now. Thank you for this :-)

Incredible Musical Ideas

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you for the review. I must say, though, that this music is exceptionally well thought out and structurally outstanding. I cringe to even label this as simply Trance. It's way way more intricate and thought provoking then any trance on newgrounds has proven to me so far. This deserves to be in an Electronica genre all on its own....unfortunately the powers that be have not given us that option right now.

You have tons of talent and listening to this ever-changing, morphing piece of music is proof of that. If I could give any kind of advice, I might say that the ending leaves much to be desired. I'm taking an utter journey through this music and it ends way to abruptly. Keep up the stellar work and you'll have many fans of your work here before you know it.

NATOSymmetric responds:

thanks, thats really encouraging
yeah. i know what you mean about it being more thought provoking than most trance, i would rather make music as intresting as i can. Im not trying to make trance as it should be made, im just making it as it comes to me
well thanks for your advice, encouragement and score!
i should be putting some more of my tracks up here soon, lets hope you find them as 'thought provoking' as this!

Great Work

These are some really great textures you've created. I love the fading, compressed pad that comes in around 2:25 :-D......it makes me smile. Great job at keeping the track interesting with lots of transitions and sounds to keep the track fresh. I know this is experimental, but I really wish there was a distinct melody to kind of keep the song together. Just a suggestion. Keep producing!

tijnn responds:

Hehe that was totally nót my intention, i wanted chaos and diversity, i could've let the pads go through the song but honestly, i think this is really cool like this (:

Thanks for the review!

Well Worth The Wait.

Alright so I finally get to hear what you decided to do with my track and I'm really pleased that you decided to go in a different direction from the original. When I started up the track I already kinda had an idea from demo's you had sent me, but it's nice to finally hear the finished product.

I'm intrigued by the chord progression you chose. Obviously it's not the same as the original, and I like that. I'll be honest, my ears took a little while to get used to it simply because I'm so used to the song flowing in a certain way (this would be due to the 100s of 1000s of times I've listened to my own...ugh). This is nice though because i really feel it gives the melody a dreamy, lighter then air feeling that I don't think the original was able to achieve as well.

I felt the breakdowns and buildups for sufficient for the type of feel you wanted this track to express. A part of me really wishes that you had included another synth or piano line to play along with the original melody at certain points. That's just wishful thinking on my part though.

And then 5:01 comes in and I smile. Just as when Bjra included the counter melody, so did you and I thank you for doing so. Without it my impression would be much different.

All in all this is a really great dance track, and I'm glad I was able to spark the interest in it. I'm sorry that this is going to be your last submission here, but I'm honored you chose this to be your exit out. Keep me posted on your new submissions wherever you decide to upload them at.

Karco responds:

Hey Reasoner, looks like you liked it. :D Thanks!

I do agree another synth would have helped the track quite a bit, and many others have suggested the same before you have. Thing is, I didn't want to clutter the mix too much, or divide the listener's attention, and I simply couldn't find a good synth to fill that role anyway. I wish I had, but the track seems to hold its own pretty well regardless. :)

And yes, the idea of including the counter melody pretty much presented itself to me (silver platter, bright blinking lights around it, you get the idea) right when I hit the second break. I couldn't turn it down. ;D

Thanks for the review and high ratings, Reasoner! I'll be sure to keep you updated. :)

I really,,,REALLY love this idea....

but it's not finished. The only reason I say that is after reading your description and inspiration for this song. The gated pad starts and I'm thinking..."yeah...this song is about to truly rock out in a few seconds". I hear the filter start to lift on it and then the sawtooth synth comes in with another rythmn harmony..."nice"....I start hear the steady, simple beat...and my mind is telling me that I'm about to hear this really epic melody come in with some kind of string\pad ensemble and a huge, filled in drum beat that just makes me feel alive. But.....it never comes. I desperately want that to happen with this track!! So...once again I'm really loving this idea that you have come up with bro, but if I could give you any kind of advice....please consider pulling it back up from your HD and really filling in that middle part with this freaking incredibly good feeling that you are feeling right now in your heart....i know you hear it in there bro! :-)

P.S....loved the softer breakdown at the end too!

P.P.S....Consider giving us a nice bang at the end too =D

Sweet

Really nice textures bro and that flute sinewave synth ur using is haunting my head with this very eery, hopeless feeling. Great stuff!

itsameyayo responds:

Thank you, it's how I feel right now, so I'm expressing it as best as I can. If you post any other new song, hit me up with the link, I enjoy them.

......

I appreciate you trying to give it your all in this track. I think you have a lot of great ideas in your head that I can hear you trying to express through your tracks. I'm not a very good critic, partly caus I get enough people telling me how my music should sound that I don't feel like dishing it out to another fellow musician. If I had one suggestion, I would say to try to stay away from the trance cliche of playing these long upbeat patterns again the beat. I know this is primarily a dance tune but I don't want you to get stuck with your tracks starting to sound like one interchangeable trance theme after another. Harmonies, variation, and seamless transitions are soooo important for you bro and I'm really looking forward to hearing a major epic piece from Nintechno with those aspects considered bro. Thank you for your support and I look forward to your next track. Keep em comin :)

Nintechno responds:

Whoo! Thanks dude! Great review

Just a simple guy. I only contribute music to newgrounds since I have no visual artistic talents whatsoever. My influences come mostly from Vangelis, George Winston, and a heavy dose of electronica and new age.
